Atari martial arts corporate identity
The martial arts club "ATARI" is first and foremost a friendly team! The club was founded in 2010. The values and traditions formed during these years have created a strong foundation and have made the club proud of its special atmosphere and spirit.
Among the pupils of club are champions of Russia, of district and of regional tournaments. Atari will train anyone: schoolchildren, PhD candidates, office workers, senior managers, business owners, beginners who are taking their first steps in the world of martial arts and experienced world champions!
The club takes an active part in activities aimed at promoting sports, healthy lifestyles and social education of young people. An integral part of "Atari" is hosting cultural and entertainment events, as well as seminars aimed at comprehensive individual development.
The final logomark is a red samurai helmet. We also created a conceptual design, based on the game of Go. This design shows an open, continuous line, superimposed on a series of stones. The sequence in which the stones are arranged shows a specific instance in the game of Go, at which a player is at their most vulnerable and their stones may be claimed by their opponent.
We chose to depict this critical moment in the game in order to convey Atari’s slogan, which translates to “Start the winner’s path”: it is precisely at a the moment of potential defeat that Atari club members can instead overcome their challenges.
